Hi! My name is Candi Rae - The owner and creator of Wild Natured. I am a proud mom of 2 precious girls and wife to the best husband a gal could ask for. The name 'Wild Natured' pretty much speaks for itself with our lifestyle. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and later moved to the Northeast Georgia Mountains where I have lived most of my life.
I constantly have people ask me how I came up with the idea for the custom candles.... My sweet, very patient Me-Maw! She taught me at a young age how to crochet and other fun-artsy things through the years. I have to give her credit for my passion with hand crafted gifts.
Now, the custom wood bowl candles came about a little later in life. My daughters are always wanting to get their teachers Christmas gifts each year and it becomes pricey and.... well somewhat overwhelming. With my husband being part owner in a local tree company, I always was wondering - What could we do to recycle or reclaim some of that leftover wood? Then the idea hit me! Who doesn't love a good custom made candle? That's when this exciting journey began and has been a great success ever since.
These have become the most wonderful gifts for - weddings, teachers, birthdays, holidays, last minute or maybe even just a gift for yourself.
All of our candles are hand-poured with 100% soy wax, nature oils, and cotton core wicks.
Every wooden bowl is made from locally cut wood and local sawmill. After the pieces of wood are cut to feasible slabs, they are then dried in a kiln, designs are cut, and the candle process begins!
